Krystal is such a funky and fun spirit, and rocked it! I knew she’d rock the pose above when it came to my head ;)
P.S. Happy 4th of July! Be safe :D

I LOVE the first image - and not just cause there’s a hot lady in the photo! ;) Chrystal is a hottie, so it’s hard to take a bad photo of her, but I just love the mood of it ;) And I love the touch the heart on the record adds too!

Gorgeous sexy Gigi! I love how vintage the first image is, she is definitely channeling some 50’s pinup!

You may remember these two beautiful souls from their engagement session a few months ago - and it was time for their big day! There was quite the heat wave going on during that time, so it was a WARM day! But everything turned out beautifully, the ceremony at the Immaculata, and the reception at the Hilton in Mission Valley. I loved the little details that they made it personal with - Ellen’s mom’s rosary, the gardenias in her hair (smelled sooo good!), the Patron on the party bus (you can imagine!) and the Polynesian dancers at the reception, which Ellen’s sister was a part of. :)
Ellen & Ash, you guys are such wonderful genuine people and I’m honored to have gotten the chance to share this day with you!

It was a warm day at The Prado in Balboa Park, which was the setting for Sandy & Sean’s big day! It was an early afternoon affair, and after the entire wedding, we headed to the Gaslamp area, where we took their couple photos (I highly recommend setting aside a good amount of time before the ceremony or after the entire wedding for couple photos because it’s a wonderful time you guys get alone time together as well as plenty of time for amazing photos! :)) along with their son, Christian (whom I think will grow up to be a heartbreaker someday!). The whole family is stunning really, and look at gorgeous Sandy in that dress! :D Their special day was coordinated by Melanie Chiong, who did a fabulous job with all the details!
Sandy, Sean & Christian, I am so happy for you guys, you are all wonderful and beautiful. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you all, and I wish you all the best in your journey together as a gorgeous family. :) Thank you for having me in this special day in your life. :)
P.S. Sandy & Sean actually did a flippin’ AMAZING first dance, but I actually want to wait until I have a few other pieces before posting that. ;)

re: summmerrrrrrr.
Is it me, or has this year been just sooo unusually warm?!
re: korean food.
Everytime I have Korean food, I like it more and more each time. So far I’ve really only been to places on Convoy - anyone have other suggestions? :)
re: photo above.
Gromit when he was a little pup, the first time he was on the beach. :)
re: so you think you can dance.
Okay, since I watched both last week and this week altogether pretty much, I have a lot to say. First off, I LOVE COURTNEY AND GEV. I think they’re so flippin’ adorable, and awesome dancers. Gev is so smitten with her, it’s too cute. I loved their last two dances, the contemporary and rumba. Next, I would probably have to say Mark and Chelsie. I have honestly loved ALL their routines so far, they’re amazing. Mark keeps surprising me more and more each week! My favs are probably their hip hop and contemporary. Lastly, Katee and Joshua - I was honestly not too into Katee in the beginning, but she has really been stepping up the game (plus her haircut has taken the edge off her expressions) I do really like their first hip hop and samba. Although their Broadway was really fun too, and basically was the turning point where I began to like her. :P
Other notable routines: Top 18 group hip hop by Shane Sparks (oh, why did he leave us?! :( ), Kourtni & Matt - Contemporary (love the song), and just cause it’s so quirky, Top 20 group by Wade Robson.
I do like Twitch as well, I think he may win it, but we’ll see.
Gosh, I should make an entry someday about how much I am a dork for SYTYCD. :p Honestly, you would laugh at how dorky I am about this show. :) And it goes WAY BACK.
re: inspiration.

01 :: across the universe - the movie.
I’ve mentioned the soundtrack before, but I recently just bought the movie, and watching it again makes me appreciate all the little things about the movie. Not to mention the music, dancing, and overall inspiration. The director had SUCH a vision, and carried it out so beautifully. I love it.
02 :: turkish lace earrings.
I love everything about these, the color, the pattern…. I’m seriously considering making my first etsy purchase with this.
03 :: the 80’s.
Are seriously back in full force. I have been resistant for a while no, but sadly, I’m beginning to embrace it. The colors (I still can’t handle some), the funkiness. Yes, I’ve fallen in. (image by kaatee)
04 :: the honorary title - scream and light up the sky.
Mmmmmm newest listen. :) Love his voice… Scratchy and wonderful.

Jennifer was the last girl for my day two session and such a great spirit! I love the first image, which I think is sexy in a tomboy-ish way :)

My fabulous Cathy! She chose a sexy pin-up look for her shoot and I lurve it ;) And who knew how awesome nude fishnets look?!

I really love the above image, and I honestly wish I could show more because Helena went topless and looked amazing! But these two will do for now :)

Get ready for a massive update on all boudoir teasers. :) One of the things I love about doing these, not only do they make women feel GOOD about themselves, but it really gives me a chance to photograph individual personality (let yourself shine through!), and the beauty of each woman. :)

Chicago is a pretty awesome city - loved, loved, loved the buildings! I wish we had brick buildings, water towers, and the history! I still love California though :) I didn’t get too much of a chance to explore the whole city - I really only explored about a 4-6 mile radius from the hotel. Most of my days were taken up by the workshop, and just hanging with other photographers and what not :) The first and last day we there were the days that I actually got to explore on our own. :)
I ate a lot, and the food there is GOOD. Really, it was hard to go to any food place and not have at least pretty good food. Most of the places were very good. :) A few places that we visited that I loved was Bijan’s (Bistro place open till 4am!!), Gino’s (GOOD deep dish pizza!), Nuts on Clark (mmm I crave their cheese popcorn now - thanks for the rec, Char!) and Downtown Dog (mmm Chicago style hot dog!).
Other “touristy” things we did included a visit to the Navy Pier, shop along the Magnificent Mile and taking an architectural boat tour which was fun because it rained the whole time we were on it (and of course, it didn’t rain at ALL before OR after the ride, only when we were on it!!) That was actually pretty relaxing, because I had been frazzled all week (my body is still on Central time!) and the rain cleansed my spirit :)

We encountered a storm on the way there

Justin & Michelle. (who are currently road tripping to their wedding and having a photographic adventure! I can’t wait to see their images from the whole thing :) )

Anne & Bill. (thanks for getting dirty for me :) )

Nic.

At which everyone but a few crazies like us stayed during the downpour. The chairs were all full in the beginning. :)

On the Chicago Tribune building, there are pieces of important landmarks from all over the world embedded in the walls of the building on the outside. It’s pretty awesome.

The only food item I got the chance to take a photo of - a cheese dog.

Farewell Chicago. Till next time. :)

Back in San Diego! But still not back in the office :) I have sooooooo many things to post/blog about, there’s not enough days in the week to do it!! lol ;) Upcoming these next two weeks - boudoir teasers (eight of them!), Chicago images, and more wedding teasers :)

Have you ever flown on a hot air balloon? I want to.

re: chicago.
AWESOME! I’ve had so much fun here so far, and wish I could stay longer and see more, but I simply can’t! I truly enjoyed my time here though, and must come back!! :D Plus, I’m super thankful of all the amazing people I’ve met here and all the things I’ve learned :)
re: my schedule.
Is soo off right now!!
re: old brick buildings.
I wish we had more of these in San Diego. :)
re: inspiration.
