So, this is the end of an insane year! But it’s only the beginning of a whole new adventure. :)I feel like I have grown and evolved so much into the photographer that I *am* and I couldn’t be happier. I’m thrilled to see what’s in store for the upcoming year… or even years! Life is amazing, and to be able to catch snippets of it and share with the world what I see is such a blessing. I hope people that experience my work can come away with something. :)
This year has shaped me like no other has. Just being comfortable in my own skin is something I’m learning everyday, and exposing myself to world through photographs.
I am so blessed for all the connections I made this year, with friends (you guys ;) ), other photographers, people who inspire me, and people I love. You all have brought me to where I am now.
So many exciting things in store for 2008 though, I can’t wait to share. ;)
Another exciting thing is that I won Grand Prize (and second place :)) for the Jesh de Rox Explore Awards! Thank you SO much to everyone who voted – and participated in any way. This is certainly the icing to a wonderful year, and mind blowing to me. I would’ve never thought that I would ever get to where I am now, and I only look forward. :) Thank you to Jesh and the judges and everyone who participated! I am so humbled. So humbled. :)
So! I embark on a new year with a new resolution for the blog too – a photo a day! I realize the blog is going to be a bit crazy with something everyday, but I hope that you can all keep up!
I wish everyone a lovely, safe, and beautiful new year!!

P.S. The photos I have posted are from cards I painted this year :)

I simply couldn’t wait to post these photos for you! Nikki and Adam are two incredibly special people to me, and I am honored and blessed to have been able to do this shoot for them. (To refresh your memory, here was my post about their wedding & the teasers for this shoot) They’re such warm and genuine people, and I am sooo thrilled with how the photos came out! :) I really wanted their love and joy and connection to show, so I hope you enjoy my experience with them. :)

Wow! I can’t believe that not one, but TWO of my entries for the Jesh de Rox Explore Awards have made the cut! They’re actually the same two images that I posted in my prvious entry from Nikki & Adam’s post wedding session! :D I’m sooo thrilled, to be even nominated is thrilling! :D I encourage you all to head over to his blog and VOTE for your favorite! ;)

I couldn’t resist and *had* to post some teasers for Nikki & Adam’s Post Wedding session :) Stay tuned until after the holidays for more! (Okay so, I can’t wait until after the holidays – I will probably be posting the rest *very* soon!) :)

What a year it’s been! It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride, but I’m sooo ready for 2008 to come! There are so many exciting things developing and I can’t wait to share with you all about everything! This year has been a large blessing and I can’t wait to see what 2008 has in store. It’s always exciting to think about all the changes and growing that can happen over time and the positive things to come.
For the holiday season I will be on vacation from December 20th until January 3rd. If you need to reach me, I will be checking my email periodically, however unless something needs immediate attention, I won’t be returning all emails after I return. :)
From our family to yours, happy holidays, and may your season be merry & bright!

So it’s early to talk about new years resolutions, but I wanted to try something in 2008. I will post a PHOTO A DAY for the entire year of 2008. That means 365 photos & posts! Can I do it?? I’ve tried stuff like this before for like a month but it always failed, but this year, I am going to do it! This means that you guys will be seeing a lot more personal/old/film stuff coming from me :) Like the above photo, taken with my SX-70 Polaroid camera, sometime in 2006 :)
:D What kind of things are you guys wanting to do for the new year? :)
