Back in January I traveled to Vancouver to photograph a wedding & got a chance to explore downtown on my own. It was a lovely city, & I really would like to come back when it’s summer because I keep hearing about how gorgeous it is in the summer. The fun thing about being there was seeing the city getting ready for the Olympics. That, and how proud Canadians are of being, well, Canadians. :)
(It also delighted me how Canadians said the word “process” and how everything was officially said/written in both English and French!)
I will definitely be posting the rest of my images from my trip soon. <3

Been doing a lot of daydreaming lately, mostly about waking up early and walking to the beach for a morning stroll. :)
Just the idea of taking walks to somewhere lovely! It keeps me going. :)
.
What have you been daydreaming about lately?

One of my favorite dessert places is Heaven Sent Desserts in North Park. I actually prefer them over the *other* well-known dessert place in Hillcrest based on taste! These desserts hit home much more, like the apple crumble I shared with a friend – so delicious! I want to go back for more.

This image is one of my favorite polaroids I’ve taken – I just love how you can see my kitty’s reflection in the window. So gorgeous.

I know I haven’t been posting very large posts recently, a lot has been going on and there are many changes coming ahead. I am so dying to share with you posts from weddings & engagements and other shoots that I have done, but sitting down and picking images for a blog post and then editing the images just for the blog post is a lot of work! Hopefully soon I will be able to share again, and catch up with all my terribly behind blogs!
A lot is in store for the future! And I am very much looking forward to them & sharing with you all.

Ah, North Park, one of my favorite neighborhoods of San Diego.
Your quirkiness, loveliness, & delicious eateries along 30th street draw me in everytime.
Plus, I drool over your bikes.
Love, me.

Happy Friday! I hope you all get a chance to catch up with friends over coffee this weekend. :)
The last image is of a flyer for a Tara Donavan exhibit at MCASD downtown – I highly recommend going to see it if you get the chance. I saw a Tara Donovan exhibit a few years back and I just love what she does with the most ‘ordinary’ objects. It’s so organic from the most inorganic things. Definitely a treat. :)

The past few days have been so sunny (and very gorgeous) that it felt like summer jumped up and slapped me in the face! *hi!*
However, rumor has it that rain is due to come back – something I do very much look forward to. (Variety is the spice of life!)
Image from when it was raining a whole heck of a lot last month. :)

Another food post with Ms Denise! This time it’s a chili & chocolate drink mixed in with sweet potato! Yum, it was a perfect end to the pozole she made (which will come at another time!)
See the recipe for the drink (& the rest of the images) here. :)
happy valentine’s day <3
This is an old polaroid I took, way back when I was in my last year in college in 2004. The edges are discolored a bit because it was a part of a gift for Zach for his birthday, where I did polaroid transfers (and regular polaroids) and bound them all in a book. There were a few transfers that did not come out, so I stuck regular polaroids over them. And this is what happened to them, 6 years later.

happy chinese new year!
To be honest, I have no idea what those banners say. This was taken in 2008 when I went home for Christmas – this image was a part of a series of polaroids as well – but these were just images of home.

Two holidays in one day, how fun is that? :) I hope you are ringing in the new lunar year with your very special valentine ;)
(and I hope to share the rest of the images from these series someday)
