Sacramento River.
This image was for my first black and white photo class, taken sometime in 2002. The scan is pretty crappy, as I don’t have a true 35mm scanner, but it’ll do. I remember my frustrations in my first photography class, I was so used to having teachers tell me what they wanted to see in fine art classes, that this was the first time I ever had a teacher tell me to do whatever *I* wanted to do. At that age, that concept BOGGLED my mind. “What do YOU want me to do?! What do YOU think looks good?! You’re the one grading me?!!!” Hahaha, this was only the beginning of a long journey ahead. ;)

Love this image. The reflection, scenery and angle. You could almost walk into it and sit next to the river :) I want it in my living room :)
LOVE it.. I think the “crappy scan” actually enhances the image
some of my favorite photos were taken at that river. i miss driving down freeport and catching the light on the water.
yup I thought it was a recent shot and you added a pinch of grain… really moody, like a sci-fi movie… oh and I love it!
